110 days without smoking

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 20 Jun 2016

Yes, I've quit for 110 days according to the myquitplan on this website. Yippee! Should I light up and celebrate? Haha! .. Of course not! What should I do? Maybe I should tell someone about it and feel good about my accomplishment. So, I'm telling you guys that I've made it thus far!

I've given up coffee for several days now. I've noticed that I am addicted to stimulants whether it be nicotine or caffeine. I seem to like things that artificially boost me but I know that its not good and I should learn to live without them.

Having said that, I'm going to go for a 1/2 hour walk this morning before going to work. I'm going to see if I can sweat, then I'll take a shower and get in my car and go to the office. Hopefully that will be enough of a stimulant coupled with some neck and shoulder exercises.

not as strange as it may sound people celebrate with a smoke , strange but true.

glad you didn't do that and see the funny side of it.

yes I been drinking coke for a couple months and it has to go, not good !! so just back on my self filtered water been drinking it all my life and its the only way for me to go.

exercise releases serotonin so I am doing the walk thing too, my blood pressure was high still is so need to change from the sugar binge I started on when I stopped smoking so now better food and exercise a must to stay smoke free. I was getting real sick so time to turn that around now its not working any more.

so well done on the 110 days its a huge achievement , so enjoy the day and smile :)

manchild, congrats on 110 days, what an achievement, be very proud of yourself.

Off caffeine as well, I take my hat off to you, not sure if I could or would do that, onward and upward to the next milestone.

Yes awesome MC, give yourself a huge pat on the back :). I like caffeine, alcohol and cake and crisps and chocolate lol. OH well, my hubbie said he'd rather me be a non smoker with a bit of extra weight rather than having to carry an oxygen tank around....or worse. Keep it up MC and everyone else

Yeah, Manchild. Glad you have a SOH and decided to celebrate your success with us here @icanquit, as opposed to lighting up...cos you can and you already know we truly applaud your effort as we know only too well how hard the journey is.

Great achievement - pat yourself on the back. Lots of walking and telling that nagging voice inside to just go away. But you know that already. Well done.
