Ok, so this is a fun feature. My ankles and feet are swelled up like balloons. I read on another site that others saw this quite often but no one said how long it lasted. My heart checked out fine in the ER so I am not sure beyond a toxin dump that there is anything else going on here but it is really uncomfortable. Anyone else see this in the first few weeks after stopping nicotine use? How long did it last? I am trying a water pill and elevating my legs when I can but there has been no affect as of yet. Any other suggestions?

Hi Katch70

This can be caused by heat I know this as it happened to me last year in the summer and it lasted six weeks 😭 It was horrible to say the least as my feet were massive!! Couldn't wear shoes or hardly walk but had absolutely nothing to do with nicotine 😊 Hope this helps 😊

my body and brain has gone through all sorts of weird changes and still after stopping smoking , not sure there is a test for any of it, its been a challenge but 30+ years of smoking doesn't go away in a few weeks and I don't think we get off scott free either, but still compared to what was coming real fast if I kept smoking.

I have noticed some swellin in my belly , see I haven't lost my sense of humour .

I think things happen after we stop that might not happen to anyone else for what ever reason.

hang in there!! ask the Dr , do some research on the net etc..

I know my hands and feet were like numb when I would sleep wake up and it was horrible but its got better, body is going through huge changes !!

be nice to you and remember what ever it is we are going through a smoke will not fix it.
