I gave up smoking for 3 months about 6 months ago, I used patches and an inhaler. I am angry with myself for starting again but it was the best attempt so far, and I did learn a lot about myself. So I hope to make this next time to be the final transition to anon- smoker.

You managed to quit then, you can do it again Jen. I was chatting to a young GP recently who is an ex smoker, he told me he attempted to quit about 10 times...but in the end he actually did quit.

How are you quitting this time? Keep us posted and good luck.

I think that making the decision to quit us harder than quitting.

We have anxiety attacks thinking that we'll never be able to smoke again.

Really? Thank goodness for not having to smoke again.

I can see a journey with thousands of cigarettes piled up that I have to get through before I die. It is grey and smokey.

I see another path through the trees, with bright sunshine at the other end (no cigarettes)

Well done, Jen, nothing ventured nothing gained. Don't think of it as giving up, think of it as stopping. You will soon be free again. Completely. I'm on my 3rd attempt, it feels different this time though. Let's become smoke free for good this time together. Stay strong and stay in touch
