Smoking Wars a New Hope

So after remaining smoke free for approx 14 weeks the dark side of the smoking wars has taken me to the dark side after asking for one yes one cigarette I was back to smoking and wasting my money I have reset my quit date after long contemplation to come back to the forum with tail in-between legs and once again begin my journey to the light side of the force with no smoke, stinky daddy or minus dollars and cents in my account. This is not an easy journey but one that must be won once and for all if not for me for my daughter who remains dedicated to throwing my packets in the bin and reminding me why I must not given in to the dark side of the smokes. I am ashamed to say I have even picked up used butts from our work ashtray just so i can get a fix not one of my finer moments but no more will daddy fall to temptation and as my daughter tells me The Doctor doesn't smoke, good point my trusty companion. I shall dust myself off and continue to travel where the air is cleaner, my pockets are full and the stinky daddy is no more. Just don't give up the fight of the Smoking Wars.

Hi JazzyKelly71
The best thing that you have done is to come back here. I did a few times- called myself once the serial quitter. Before I quit.
Take the tail out and set it wagging.
Each of us understands the difficulty of this journey.
You have solved your own problem - it is that first drag that does you undone. So, don't take it. Sounds simple, but a life-changing event. And hard.
You have to do this for yourself, it has to be your major choice, not your children's.
Your daughter doesn't smoke, doesn't understand the addiction, of course. She just sees the ugly side of smoking. We don't. It was our friend? in time of need.
Thanks for sharing the smoking wars. Good Luck. Reset your quit date-just do it now, it is the best time. Keep posting.

Thank you for reminding us all that we are only one puff away from being hooked on cigarettes and for having the courage to come back here and expose the dark side of the addiction.
I'm sure you can do it. You did 14 weeks already, so you know whats possible and you seem to know what it is that made you go back since you talk abut the "one cigarette"

Thank you to all who have commented on my quitting saga it means a lot and yes we must do it for ourselves first and for most with some inspiration from those who love us and care that we remain smoke/stink free. I have a saying which is NOW (No Opportunity Wasted) and this is what I will do use the opportunity to remain strong with the smoke free force use Jedi Mind tricks if I must to not light up that one cigarette. So Thank you May the smoke free Force be with you! I have rebooted my date so let the journey commence once again. There is a New Hope and no Smoke Empire Strikes Back this time.
