Never too late

Just a quick message. Now 210 days since last cigarette. Feel really good. Cravings rare and mild. Still can't believe I am smoke free after 52 years of smoking. Note. The first cigarette I had in 1964 made me violently sick but like an idiot I persisted. Feeling really great now though. Dobbin

bet most everyone's 1st smokes made them sick , and well why did we want to smoke if it made us so sick?
I have some theory's on that but not going to hijack this thread !!
well done on the 210 days Dobbin keep up the great work seems from what I can see in my short time off the smokes there is no downside !!

Great news Dobbin. I think you deserve to be congratulated for sticking it out. As time goes on (and I am a similar way down the track as you) we forget to congratulate ourselves on an achievement which twelve months ago we would have thought impossible. So well done and stay at it.

Congrats on your 210 days Dobbin! I'm at the end of day 42 right now so you are way ahead of me.
IC mentioned first smokes. Well, I did not enjoy my first smokes at all at the age of 14. I puffed away and did my best at practicing to inhale so that I could go back to the girl who told me I was not smoking properly and show her that I'm really part of the grown up hardcore smoking gang! Now I'm 49 years old turning 50 and I am keen on giving up for good, one day at a time!
Today was a bit better for me than the last few days, not so many cravings although I am having problems sleeping early and and am waking up late every day. My body is changing (I know it) and I think my body needs rest. I'm sure my body is not used to having so much oxygen. Maybe thats why I feel so awake at night?

Congratulations Dobbin for kicking a habit of a lifetime. I can imagine that your quality of life has improved considerably
