I woke this morning. Dirty thinking. I needed a smoke soooo bad. Had a bad nights sleep, up 3 times. Got up and did have a coffee, surprisingly it was ok. So to fool myself, I thought a good workout of thorough cleaning the unit. This took me 3 hours. But, you know how the mind works. Ahhhh! now, I must reward myself for this?

Well, just one ciggy, right? One very cold shower later, I had lost that desire. And continue to use sugar free coffee lollies. No NRT. I did try the gums, but I found it burned my throat. I have an ulcer in my stomach. So, for me it is keep busy as possible. Planning to go fishing tomorrow. Think positive, and move on to a smoke free home. OH YEH, I have perfume that plugs into a socket, and turned it on. It takes my mind off thinking about a smoke. Very relaxing too :)

Hey Trish…just do all what it takes to really keep your mind away from smoking!

The perfume plug in is a very good idea as relaxation is what you really need when you are trying to quit.

Best of luck to you!

have faith on yourself. you have done so great thing. go ahead . only you have to do one thing which is not to smoke only one cigarette as a reward after such an achievement. you can do everything except that one puff. take very deep breath one after another. best wishes..

Well done.

We must convince ourselves that smoking is not a reward, really we punish ourselves by smoking. Perhaps it would be a good idea to make a list of rewards that you will have earned at each milestone.
