Hi all I'm on day 7 and today has been a terrible day the worst since day 1 I am really struggling, keep thinking maybe just a couple of puffs, then I think is this classified as a slip and if so do I have to start again. Internally a Hugh struggle, but so far I haven't lost the battle hopefully tomorrow is better, not sure if my resolve can take it again tomorrow. This is the longest I have ever gone without a cigarette in 47 years. Wish me luck.

Hi Storm, wow day 7 of not smoking in a 47 year habit, you are doing great.

The Nicotine Demon don't want you winning this battle, it still wants to control you...its had it way with you for 47 yrs....but the tables are turned and you are going to be the Victor with your determination and positives in your goal of giving the smoking the boot.

Today wasn't a great day for you, But tomorrow is going to be better, try and do something different tomorrow that your day is consumed with other thoughts.

Because we have smoked for many years, smoking became like a routine so it was very natural, but our lives have changed now, and it will be for the better, in many ways....

If quitting smoking was easy, everyone would be doing it,

its not the easiest of habits to break, but taking that 1st step, is a major leap into a better future being smokes free.

Looking forward to your updates on your journey.

Hi Cough Cough, Cough

This Saturday the 26th will be 6 months of being smoke free, I was and am very determined that the Nicotine Demon that sits on my shoulder daily just waiting for me to slip up, with all the coughing I used to do suprising it never fell off my shoulder...lol.

About a month of quitting my racking cough left me,

But a few of the greatest things about giving up apart from the savings at the check out is not smelling of smoke which I find quiet revolting now on other people.

You have done a very major achievement on 3 years....A gold star is awarded to you.

I was like Storm a smoker for about 46 years, but in the year leading up to my quitting I was 60+ @ day, White Ox rollies to cold turkey, nothing.

So with determination, stubborness , positives, the confidence, you can achieve your goals.
