Tired of all my head excuses, want so badly to get well, only way is to stop poisoning myself. So day 3 and travelling rough, will walk till I drop. Water more water and Quick spray mist are my 3 friends for now. Thanking you all as at least I know others are trying to quit, I wish you all a speedy recovery. cath

Well done Cath. You can do this. The benefits to your health, the money you will save, not smelling like an ashtray, etc. Reading the other posts on this site have really helped me on my journey as well as posting myself (now up to day 95 smoke free). Good luck and don't let that toxic so called friend take control again - she/he was never a friend to you - just wanted your health, your money and time away from your true friends

I found green tea had a calming effect for me when the cravings were excrutiating early on in my quit. Walking and water helped big time too.
