I have made it to 14 days without a smoke. I'm so proud of myself . by now I would have bought two 50 gram pkt tobacco and two 25 grams pkts. That's 200 smokes o have not smoked.... Wow. I didn't realise how much I was smoking..

Hi Kaf. Well done and keep strong. Your post had me calculating how many smokes I have not had over my 11 weeks smoke free and the answer is around 851. Good luck.

Hi Kaf I cannot even remember the amount of quit attempts I my past. I started smoking at 12 and had smoked for 38 years. The last 6 years I had been a secret smoker who mostly smoked only in my backyard so I went from a packet a day to half a pack and probably lucky that no one around me smokes. It has been hard at times but I am so determined this time and I know if I ever have just one puff, I will be a smoker again. You may not think it now but it will get easier to ignore the more you say "no". This is a great site and has helped me a lot reading other stories. Everyone on this site understands what you are going through - the grief, the insomnia, the nightmares, crankiness, anger at the amount of money you have let go up in smoke, the time wasted, the risk to your health just to name a few. Good luck on your journey and let us know how you are doing.

Hi iwillbeatit. Yes this is a good site to b on. This is the first quit site I have joined. In past when I quit I was so scared of failing that I didn't reach out. But this time I don't have those fears and I like to read others stories as well.
