day three

Today is day three with no.nicotine n I'm struggling... My tummy is in knots.... I'm having hot flushes all.over my chest... I break out in a sweat...

Hi Kaf...you are doing great for day 3 even though you are going through a bit of stress at the moment,, stay strong, its the habit that wants all the things that it achieved from Nicotine that you provided by smoking...your body will be going through so many adjustments, and soooo many emotions, have some water...go for a walk..take your mind off what is happening but...... stay strong and be positive, don't give in, your doing great
Jenno

Thank u jenno. U have helped me a lot. Knowing others r out there that have been through this and can help and support me . thank u again

Congratulations!Kaf...hang in there. Keep going... you can do it! Everything will pass cravings, anxiety, stomach upsets. Drink water whenever you crave, exercise if you can. Don't give in to nicotine addiction. Create distractions. You can do it. I have been a non-smoker now for 490 days, quit cold turkey. I am happy as a non-smoker. I don't missed cigarettes, and smelling like an astray. Best wishes!! keep us posted!

I know it feels like the way things are at the moment will never end but, I promise you, they will. Stick to your guns and you will beat the physical addiction you have to nicotine as well as the psychological dependence you have to smoking. I am in my third week of not smoking and ir's the best decision I've ever made despite the challenges I have faced (and still do, at times). It gets easier with every day despite the rare times when you feel like you're not strong enough to stop smoking. That's just not true; you are strong enough and you will stop smoking for good if you realise this; just as I did. Congratulations on your three smoke free days. I wish you many more.

Jojie and suzan thank you both for your supportive words. I made it to day four yayyyy. I enjoy hearing success stories like yours. Thank u so much

Congratulations Kaf, honestly this is HARD hey! 3 days is great, be proud of those 3 days and the strength and will power you have shown yourself. I am on day 18 smoke free, and yes, I still have many moments each day where my brain says - go on - have one! But I am now able to talk back sternly to it and emphatically say NOOOOOOO to it! You said you had your tummy in knots, I had that too, so uncomfortable, it was like I had been holding in my tummy muscles all day and bruised them, awfl, but they disappeared in the 2nd week for me and I feel more relaxed in the tummy region. Good luck, you can do it!

Hi beaudidly. Yes this is hard!!!. My tummy today is not in knots its weird. Yes I have my brain telling me just go have one!!!! Its like a swoosh feeling n I get a spin and then I say no I don't need one!! I definitely understand the phrase one day at a time... I tell.my self this. Woke up today and thought cool.its day four I have made it.

Don't forget to drink your water Kaf. Staying hydrated helps you fight cravings.
Remember cravings are short-lived, and nicotine addiction can be overcome. You can do it!!!

Hi jojie. Yes I have been drinking water. It actually helps with the cravings . day 5 today :)

Well done - I remember those days as being incredibly challenging. Walking is a great way to release nervous energy and if it is raining put on some music, turn it up loud and dance. Keep up the good fight.

Keep going Kaf. It is all worthy. Being a non-smoker is awesome! I have been clean now for 494 days, and saved $2,964. It is nice to be healthy, smelling good, and most of all free from tobacco enslavement. I love myself, and very proud of my accomplishment. STAY QUIT!
