when to stop nrt

I'm on NRT not sure which way to go from 50 to 0 in 4 days, just not sure when to stop the NRT

Just stop and see how good you will feel about yourself. 4 days, 40 days, what is the difference? Weaning does not work. Actually creates more angst. Think about it...

Yes spot on Lia, I used a patch for 3 days(same one) then didn't replace it and it wasn't all that bad..i personally liked the game played against my inner demon....only because im a sore loser and hate it when/if I lose:)

Some times it is better to be true to oneself. After 201 days, I can see the pain of new quitters and am forthright when it comes to telling it as it is. Thanks, nodrah, for supporting me. OK, so it is not easy. Who said it would/should be? Keep reporting in and let everyone know how you are going on this journey. Feel free to vent when necessary...

Hi, I just found this site - a little too late tho !! I saw your post here and thought I might be able to help a little. I was a 25-30 a day smoker for over 40 years and tried to give up several times, often by sheer will power - and failed ! I have now tried Champix and, surprisingly, I have quit and it has, so far, been really easy ! I've had no cravings, no withdrawal symptoms and so far no mood swings either. I went 'cold turkey' from day 2 of the Champix program (because I did not know and other way, nor how to properly use them), but I've had no problems to date.
This is now week 3 of my new non smoking life and I feel great about it.
I really hope that you stick it out - you CAN do it, if you really do want to quit, commit to it and it will happen. Be positive. Do all the things you hear about and are told about on sites such as this one (like throwing away all your smoking gear, you'd be surprised how well that helps !!) and if you can, have a friend to give you a nudge should you need one.
All the best to you, let us know how well you get on !
