Getting thru it

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 7 Dec 2015

I've been 2 weeks , today smoke free. I been Vaping , to quit. Even tho , still intake nicotine... cravings to smoke, are still there. Mostly , after eating. The carve last 1/2hr... I have it timed, to get thru it. But, I've learned ..Quitting the habit, will take as long, as getting over a heart break. Back to where you can eat and sleep, usually about 3 months. So, before I actually have the habit , controlled, my goal is to make 3 months. Meanwhile.... fight 1 crave at a time .Occasionally, I'll take a aspirin, to fight a crave... it works, but use ONLY small baby aspirin.

You're my partner in crime. I tried vaping but failed; I hope it works to help you to stop smoking cigarettes. Now on Zyban and throwing everything at stopping my nicotine addiction. I wish both of us strength and a quiet determination in our quest to stop. Will look forward to following your story.

Well done and Good on you both! Making the decision is the hardest. I've reached my 120th day! Thought I would never get here and wouldn't stop craving as I smoked for over 30 years! I'm vamping but no nicotine only flavoured eliquid! It does get easier and you do forget most of the day about smoking but I stil would love one but know I've come this far I'm a non smoker now! Good luck on your journey, 3 months will be there before you know it!
