another slip

I smoked,3 cigarettes, totally anxiety related.I have 2 choices, wallow, feel crap and a failure and continue to smoke or I can learn,I get anxious, smoke, still feel anxious.Lets try not do that again.I was tempted to not post it here but you know what, that's the was thing to do for me and that hasn't helped in the past.So here we go again,I'm giving myself credit for the quit time o have and will continue to come back, good luck everyone. X

shasha, isn't there something on this site or someone's post that you can adopt and make your own? For me day 189. I am so thrilled BigJon put me on the right track. "Margaret Thatcher" is no longer a threat and I don't listen to her insincere suggestions, especially when she suggests I reward myself for any milestone I feel I have reached. BigJon has never responded but I hope his journey has been successful.

It just doesn't matter Shasha. You did your amazing run and you have stayed so strong. Slip up or not, even the fact you report it is great. Onwards and upwards- we are human and we can walk through this. Whatever you do, don't beat yourself up.

Thanks guys, yes,I'll think of zold Maggie next time,I'm not going to let it defeat me.Going for my evening run now, onwards and upwards X

time to get over it, get your brain back into gear and get on with it. No point thinking about whats just happened. you can DO this

Sasha, I hope you get back on the quit wagon as soon as possible and don't use the fear of failing as an excuse to keep putting the new quit day off (which I have done before). You haven't failed. Slipping up is part of the learning to quit for good process. Once you work out why you slipped this time you can plan for such situations for you next attempt.

Thanks guys, haven't smoked again, been running alot and drinking alot of water to get back on track, really not beating myself up too mich😊

Ha Ha, well done Quitbuddy.. we are pushing the 90 day quit soon, and $2500 mark soon, and a slip here and there does not matter much, just keep trying my friend.. Good on Ya!
Up and at it again.. no, no, no to the bloody smokes.. harder than it looks.
I am proud of you that you are still running - that mindless action does my head in, but if it works, go for it..
I cant get the weight off - dieted my butt off and only lost 3.5kg of my 13 gained during the non smoking days in 3 weeks.. bit disapointing, but started walking now and will see how that goes..
all you guys, keep at it and stay quit..
