Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 27 Nov 2015

I have been through the worst first 4 days and I'm agitated I feel like I can't sit still as its to hot I can't sleep and all I want to do is eat I feel like the way I've been acting that everyone is watching my behaviour and thinking the worst of me cause I haven't told anyone I quit cause last time I quit I started again and all of them won't support me they all act like I'm a failure when all I need is there support

schedule 27 Nov 2015

Hi,

I am in the throws of my first attempt at quitting and I haven't told anyone either, apart from my closest friend, who I know will not judge me. I joined here probably for the same reasons as you, to be able to vent & talk to other people going through the same thing. You are not a failure, it is one of the hardest habits to kick. I am on Champix, how are you doing it?

schedule 28 Nov 2015

Day Four is horrible - I actually don't think in all of the last fourteen weeks there was a day that was more confronting. That was the day that I could not deal with. Whilst there have been plenty of hard days since, I do think that is the day that I remember throwing me the most.

Don't give in - it really does get easier and you will be so pleased with your achievement. Keep on being determined.

schedule 28 Nov 2015

That is your inner brat trying to get back in control. Use the 4 D's, delay , drink water. I used a bit of Orange juice in the water. I am day 49 and vividly remember that first week. It was HELL! But you can do it. I drink water through a straw, and have a bunch of raw vegetables cut up so I can get some mouth action. Good luck and hang in there!
