Mind games

Day 10. Maybe it's just me but it seems ironic that while you are smoking your head is full of "won't happen to me, she'll be right, I'll quit before that happens" etc, etc. Then when you finally do quit, every ache, pain, cough, etc is self diagnosed in your head as the worst possible outcome and you've left it too late.

Yep - I agree completely. My gums still bleed because they are no longer being poisoned and every time I clean my teeth I wonder if I have some serious illness. You know what, we are no longer in denial and that has to be a good thing. Good luck with it all and thank you for your posts.

Hang in there and wait for the miracles. Try some lemon and honey drinks as a pep up. I take barroca. Relaxation tapes and stretching exercises are good too. You probably just didn't notice the tension before. Your body is unwinding and healing. Hope you feel better soon.
