First Holiday without a ciggie

I am off on a holiday and, for the first time, I had to experience the disappointment of packing and getting ready without the prop of a cigarette. That made me a little bit sad. But, also, I am not worried about a long flight without nicotine, nor being in a country where smoking is even harder to do than in Australia.
Let us be under no illusion - this is very hard but there will be great rewards in the very near future.
As I will have no internet contact for ten days, I just want to wish everyone all the very best. Just keep on doing it. Walk when you have to. Sleep when you have to. Ignore all those around when you have to. Do nothing but deep breaths when you have to. And keep on logging in here. It really helps.

Hi Fullofhope. Listen, you need to stay positive in your quit. Think of something else, instead of smoking. You have to distract yourself, take a sip of water when you have cravings for tobacco, poison nicotine. This thoughts fades away in time. Remember, smoking is poison n quitting smoking is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Embrace your smoke-free life! Best wishes!!

Bon Voyage, Fullofhope. You will enjoy your new surroundings because you won't have to waste valuable holiday time finding somewhere to light up. You will feel sorry for those poor souls you see hiding in side streets in the heat or the cold or the rain in order to smoke. You will realise that used to be you. Power to you!
