Setting goals

Just completed week 2, had to reboot before this and doing well this time around. Haven't had too many cravings/temptations even though my partner is still smoking. It seems to get easier everyday, less cravings. Just got to remember that it was more habit than liking. Like you all its about setting a goal and reaching it. It wont be easy but the satisfaction in achieving far out weighs smoking. Lets face it we are better off health wise and definitely financially. Keep it up everyone.

Well done on your two weeks. You are right - it is a habit and one that is very entrenched. I think it is imprinted on our sub-conscious and continues to surprise us n=by reappearing just when we thought it had gone. Reaching that goal will be a wonderful feeling and I wish you all the very best with getting there. For myself, I know could not have come this far without the support of our fellow-travelers on this site.
Good luck.

Awesome stuff Michael, it is my 2 weeks today as well. This is my first attempt to give up after 30 years of smoking and i'm feeling quite chuffed to have made it this far without slipping up just yet. Was very close over the weekend but kept telling myself "NO".
