Not a sprint, more like a marathon...

Day 136 for me. The longer I stay on this track the more I realise it is like a marathon. Imagine the pain and the mental anguish as the participant places one foot in front of the other. It would be so easy to just give up and acknowledge the pain as the cause. What an amazing feeling to break through the threshold Visualize your line-up position. First-time racers should line up at the back. If you line up too far forward you could slow down faster runners. You want to do this first race slowly and have a good experience. Because you will be taking your walk breaks as you did during training, you will probably need to stay at the side of the road. If there is a sidewalk, you can use this for your walk breaks. Can anyone identify with this?

Lia what a great analogy to draw. I can assure you Lia you are out the front with the torch showing us all the way. Congratulations Lia you are always so positive no wonder you are powering along nicely. Love your posts and thank you for all your wonderful support on my journey. As you say this site and support from those in the same marathon helps immensely. Xxx

What a great achievement - 136 days. We know it has not been plain sailing. We know it has had a couple of easy stretches but mostly a daily battle with habit, temptation, frustration and, at times, anguish. But you are on track, you are still in the marathon and you know how to pace yourself.

Thanks so much for your support and well done on your extraordinary success. Celebrate it and remember it when times are not so simple. You deserve to bask in a little joy right now.
