Day 45

Hey guys, sorry to have been so scarce, but had my wisdom teeth out on Monday - not a fun thing..
Anyhow, I am on $1300 saved, and 45 days today, on my non-smoking meter, and actually considered stopping smoking before getting my teeth done, as the dentist advised me that there could be complications if I smoked for the first 2 days after having my teeth out.. I actually went from his office to the GP to get my Champix, so regardless of the reasons we choose to quit, they all matter.. It's amazing how many complications arise from smoking hey?
Nanette - you naughty girl!! - LOL.. I hope it was just the one and you, like me when i slipped, realized how bad a habit the smoking really is - tastes bad, smells bad and leaves you feeling sick!! Good on you for being honest, and getting on with the quit attempt.
To FOH, Shasha and my other mates out there, just keep at it - resist the beast and keep going..
wether its 90 hours, or 90 days, the challenge is still there - resit and overcome just the next smoke, and you are on your way to the new life as a non-smoker..
Keep at it guys, and well done to everyone..

Day 152 & $2888 saved from the ashtray. Now you can duct that amount that the dentist changed from your $1300 saved. Before you know it you will have saved so much you won't believe it. We really must thank the Govt or saving ourselves from ourselves...

Hey Dave, congrats on your 45 days. Just think, with nice fresh breathe, you are going to get a lot of kisses!! That is a good motivator :) We shall overcome! Actually we have overcome, now we just have to stay on course.

Ouch on the dentist trip π well done on your smoke free days,I'm liking this smoke free life tooππ

Way to go Dave - I am so pleased for you. I don't envy you the teeth but I do empathise. One of my great motivaters to stop smoking was my teeth. I tried to pretend it was genetic for way too long but in the end, it was smoking that was doing my mouth in. My gums are paying me back now - they are starting to breathe again and that is not always pleasant.
Thanks for keeping on posting your positive stories. May we all be celebrating our achievements well into the future. I have no doubt that this site has been a stronger support than Zyban (although I recommend both).
I hope the dental pain has eased and you are getting some peace.
