Almost....but not quite

Wow, 78 days smokefree and I almost had a cigarette on the weekend. I had it in my hand and a friend stopped me. Everyone was smoking around me, which usually OK, except for this once. I am glad I resisted, but I am still thinking of having one!

that's unreal. after nearly 3 months.....need to get your head back into no smoke mode

Just don't have one. I know that sounds like the silliest thing for an ex-smoker to say but that is what got me through yesterday. I just needed to do the hour by hour thing and then go to bed as early as I could. Truth be told, it doesn't feel much better today but it would feel so much worse if I had a ciggie. As Dave said yesterday, it wasn't a great experience.
I keep thinking of this as a battle and the stronger we become the greater is the fight put up by the smoking demon within. The more we resist the weaker that demon becomes. All that said, I know how you feel and I wish you all the most positive, wonderful thoughts in the world to get you through this challenging time.
Good luck.

C,mon Lindavan you're up next to bat and you only have a couple of overs to go to get to the magic 100 . You have just got to see yourself on that dance floor with John Travolta signing stayin alive an doing that big look at me pose at the end . You are sooooo close to the big test century and I know in my heart that as much as you are contemplating a dart You Won't . You have been so strong and determined on this journey and it feels so good to hear Richie Benno saying that you got 100 . So hang in there strong lady and start getting you disco outfit ready for your dance with John .......... Singing ha ha ha ha .......... Staying alive................ Whoa Yeah xxxxx

Yep -in 12 days we celebrate with the biggest deep breaths and the hugest admiration for you.

Don't do it - it is a slippery slope - think of the first few week and how hard it was to stay quit - you don't want to do it all over agin do you..
Keep strong and distract yourself by getting busy, and avoid smokers for a few days..
Just Don't do it!

Lindavan - hang in there lovely. That's where my first slip up was - I made a whole 76 days! I was so disappointed. I know exactly how you feel but I know you can keep going. Stay with us. Your doing so great!
