Got to week one but good grief it's been hard.Started with the gum but it gave me a sore mouth.Decided to go cold turkey.Day 4 was cruel and today as well but the support here is invaluable.Im learning that will power really is like a muscle that needs to be exercised 😊 I'm already seeing the difference with my running, have a 10 k planned for Mo-vember.Thanks for all the words of encouragement x😊x

It's hard the first few weeks. It DOES get better. There will soon be moments when you don't even think about smoking.

Can't wait for that,it was great waking up this morning knowing I hadn't smoked yesterday, day at a time at the moment 😊

schedule 21 Sep 2015

Go Shasha - you are doing just fine. I think the fact that we all keep checking in here means that we are determined to make it this time. But it is really, really hard and I don't think we should underestimate the challenge. The good thing I have realised from visiting this site is that it does get easier and, eventually, it will be something that we don't even think about. I don't know about you but I think about it for most of my waking hours at the moment but I know that it will become less of a preoccupation. Have a good day and congratulate yourself on getting through Day 4 which is up there with Day 14 and Day 27 as the most difficult ones for me. Mind you, everyone is different.

Thanks😊 I too am pretty preoccupied,if its not the smoking its my other stuff but to be honest, that emotional stuff will be there for a while yet, smoking sure wasn't helping😊 Thinking of you all,it is tough but we're all just doing our best x
