Day 91 One Year 274 days away

Last night at the dinner table, we talked about our budget for our holiday in January. Everyone has their own moneybox for small change in the house for saving for the holiday. Claire puts her left over lunch money in every day and then I have a family tin which I put $8 in religiously every day which sits in the kitchen and we keep a tally. Our beautiful 18 year old girl who smokes one packet of darts a week said she will donate $25 per week, to the holiday tin because she is she has bought her last packet of darts. I started my journey of giving up SOLO, now I have everyone at home, plus another three at work. Im amazed that as soon as those really bad cravings subside, its as though someone lets off the handbrake on their lives and everyone now has POSITIVE PLANS for the future, which they are seriously excited about because they now have the money to achieve it. This journey really is life changing both emotionally, mentally and physically. Keep strong XXX

Dear Nannette,
I am putting in an effort daily. Who knows how many I would smoke if it were not for that. Today I went to the Perth Royal Show. I didn't even think of smoking while I was in the grounds. Plus we had money for food and showbags. I won a big doll.

How wonderful : 'lets off the handbrake on their lives'. You not only encourage us but you make us laugh and you give us the chance to reflect and you tell it how it is. Thank you Nannette - you and your family deserve the very best of holidays. Selfishly, all I ask is that you keep checking in here because you shine a lot of light on this dim journey.
Congratulations on Day 91 - so close to your century.

Nannette, after 71 days smoke free, you are still and example to me...I don't ned to visit the site so often now, but you still inspire me....

Thank you everyone for your lovely posts........ Go lindavan, so nice to see you are still going strong, how exciting as we all approach the big century. Xxxx

Hi Nannette. Go gal! You have been an inspiration and a support to me and so many others on this site. I still wonder why I never celebrated the 16000+ days I smoked. Hope I live long enough to report back that I have been smoke free 16000 days. That thought is a big wake up call to all of us.
