Day 80 One Year 285 Days Away

Day 80 How good is that!!! I haven't been posting every day as I was becoming a bit of a bore, so Im only going to post every 5 days , however I still log on daily to see how everyone is going. My husband is on Day 18 and powering on, his journey hasn't been anywhere near as emotional as mine was in the early stages. Im happy to report that Im sooo glad that I made the decision to quit and now it is just NOT part of my day. I rarely think of a dart now , I suppose I have kicked a goal because this is how I wanted to feel. I have just established so many new habits, that are a tad less expensive and a lot more healthier. I do check this quit site after tea, and my heart goes out to those that are kicking off their journey as it is hard, but it truly is worth it and im loving feeling FREEEEEEE. Keep strong everyone.xx

Well I am just glad you are ok as I was beginning to worry. See what a profound influence you have on all of us - we start to worry if we don't see your posts and yet, a month ago, there was no Nannette in my life! Hearty congratulations on 80 days and also to your husband on 18 days. It is do good to know that you rarely think about it and that you have been able to do this through sheer determination to achieve your vision. You have never been a bore and now I look at your earlier posts to check against my own progress. One of the welcome surprises of this challenge has been the extraordinary support here and from on-one more so than you. Have a wonderful weekend.

Nannette my goodness, day 80!! Seriously girl you are a rock.
Thanks for your updates I really enjoy them and you give me hope . I remember day 70 you turned a corner ...I'm thinking ' c'me on corner' lol
Great job xx

Hi Nanette, for me Day 111 and over $2100 saved from the ashtray. That will be over $6000 over a year. The challenge is not to reward oneself with nicotine for the achievements but to look further at maybe 10 years and $60000 saved and a life prolonged. Like someone else who wrote in to this support group, I too have had times of celebration and despair over the past 40 days. At no time did I reach for the cigarettes. A lot of that power comes from the support of those on this site who share the understanding we all need. Then there are the other non smokers out there who share our highs and lows and deal with them without "drugs". May we all find the power to succeed and be rid of his addiction to nicotine.

Thanks ladies for your lovely comments we are all on fire and trying our proverbial off , but the most exciting part is we are remaining smoke free.remain determined everyone x

Hi Nannette, 80 days!!!!. I will look forward to your continued posts, once a week, along with your strength & determination. I'm really glad your husband is still hanging in there, how could he not with such a successful & positive quitter to live with. Well done.
