18!!!!!! Days without a smoke. I smoked rollies. I had this lovely, very old, soft leather battered tobacco pouch, that a Dutch friend bought me over 30 years ago. It was on its very last legs, I must say, it had almost become unusable, because the tobacco kept falling out. I threw it in the bin today, that was painful, but a necessary part of my stopping smoking. I also used to use spring loaded cigarette holders that I used because I did not want to get brown fingers. They are now also in the bin, all three of them......yoohoo, on we go.

Oh, even I cringed when you said you threw the lovely, old pouch away. But....a very necessary and big step forward which required determination. Well done. This encouraged me to get the 30 smokes I ripped up yesterday out of the draw and drown them in a bucket of water because I know it's too easy to get them & smoke all the half ones! oh well, that's it, gone now.

That's exactly why I still kept the thing, Bronte....in case I would go back! but I don't want to go back. I want to stay smokefree. It was VERY painful to throw out the pouch, because it belonged to my paraphernalia, just like the little cigarette holders. I do also have a silver tin that I used for pre-rolled cigarettes. I will not throw that away, but I will put it in a drawer somewhere, far out of reach and sight. Good on you for chucking your cigarettes in the water...you WILL be sorry one of these days, but forever happy that you did it....
