6 Days in

schedule 24 Jul 2015

Hi all I was very excited to find a site for support in quitting smoking. I have been a smoker for 40 years , I have grown to hate how I smell, hate worrying about when I can have my next cigarette , hate how I cough . There really was nothing much I liked about smoking anymore.

I am 6 days smoke free using Champix and apart from being irritable I'm going ok.

Looking forward to joining you all in this journey we are taking together

Hi Lizzie, well done to you!! It's certainly not an easy ride but it can be done and is worth it. I'm on day 20 and using Champix and from what I have read everyone handles Champix differently. I've had the nightmares ( horrific ones) and I've slept walked but I'm past those two things now. I am just also getting past the insomnia. Although these things have happened, they are now gone now and I don't know if I could have done this without Champix. I'm a fan of it. Best of luck to you, keep positive and keep checking in to this site, it helps!

Hi Lizzie, you've come to the right place. All sorts of stories from those on the same journey as you. This is a site where everyone understands the agony of overcoming the nicotine cravings. Their stories will help you and in turn you can help others. Enjoy...

63 yrs old and started smoking (peer pressure) at 18. A couple of quit efforts over the years but never lasted. Champix does it for me. At the risk of tiredness, vivid dreams, a little nausea at times.....I'm just starting again and I know it works. Good for you being 6 days smoke free, I'm looking forward to this time next week when I can say I'm now 5 days with no smokes. The smell on my clothes will be disappearing, the money won't be flying out of my purse, my new car will again be like a new car, even my bed will smell better. My list could go on and on.....must type it out and stick it on the fridge!
