Only 8 hours in and have a horrible cough
Im currently on Champix im on my quit day (11th day) and i have had a horrible cough. Now starting to get serious pain in my chest every time i cough, Was just wondering is this normal has anyone experienced this? or am i actually sick with something.
I also have had no cravings or urge to smoke. I was a little skeptical thinking i wont be able to just quit. But so far so good, still early days.

Could be the nasty winter cough that's going around! Don't know where you are but it seems to be everywhere at the moment. I didn't get a cough from quitting but I think a lot of people do and I have had one in the past when I quit years ago. No cravings is really great but keep your guard up at all times! They often arrive when you least expect it. Glad you've decided to take the plunge and quit, good on you, keep up the good work and probably best to see the GP about that cough just in case! Stay strong!
If it persists more than a day or two, you might ask the doc about it. You should expect to cough up some pretty disgusting stuff though as your celia repairs itself.
I never got a cough when I quit, but a few people I know did. I think its from your lungs starting to clean them self. I did get a few other side effects like mouth ulcers and pimples. But every time I get something like that I knew it was body changing, it was becoming healthier and cleaning its self out. So I was happy with that.
