I have a friend coming over for an unexpected drink or two. Had my jamies on ready for bed, don't even think I had a craving today at all. Already getting my heart palpitations back which have all but disappeared over the last 2 weeks. Feeling nervous & anxious again but shops are closed, my friend doesn't smoke and I don't have any so I guess I'll just have to see how the other half live without it. Will be a good test - see you on the other side & let you know how I go.

Hi, Thanks for asking! Nice to know someone cares. I'm really happy to say that I made it to day 13 smoke free! I was able to enjoy a few drinks without smoking and I actually didn't die after all. There were a few occasions that I reeeally wanted one but the thought disappeared very quickly as the conversation went on. However, that stupid demon in me did blurt out 'god I want a cigarette' every now & again but other than that it was all good. Luckily my friend was aware of my predicament so didn't think I was nuts. I didn't have access to any so I couldn't slip up. However, if the person I was with was a smoker I can see how easily it could have happened which taught me to be extraordinarily careful next time. So, a very valuable lesson learned - now I will make sure I don't drink around people or places where others are smoking for at least a while yet, until I am sure I won't cave. So this was a good test for me and think I will do some short practice runs to begin with. I'm not really fussed about drinking at the moment anyway, I'm enjoying being mostly alcohol free as well & quickly becoming an early to bed with a good book person instead & enjoying the change!!
