Walking into the service station and feeling for the poor guy buying the Peter Jacksons at $30 odd dollars, prompted me to rethink my smoking days, many many many good years, good times, as smoking was very social and many smokers were very talkative, fun people, I loved it ! BUT, after I turned 40, and even before then many times, I knew it was just stupid to keep going.. Thank god for Champix, nevermind the weird dreams or the off feeling in the stomach (ie you should take medication on a full stomach anyway)... I am now 1073 smoke free, and apart from the odd feeling of wanting one (whilst at the Bluesfest!!), i never miss it ! I don't have the $12,339 (and I bet its actually a whole lot more than that !!), but that tally is on my savings list, BUT I don't have to scrung around my handbag, wallet and car for loose change for smokes anymore !!! Yes, the point is, don't think you're the only one who won't cope, we were all like that at some point - Give Up !!
