Update on my journey

Just an update on my journey with champix , week 4 down to 2 a day , yes i know my quit date has to come. Had a trip to Melbourne this last week i am from QLD and our smoking laws are so differnt. I was really disgusted by people smoking in outdoor eateries and coffee places. And never have i seen so many people smoking on footpaths the streets in the cbd were littered with butts everywhere you looked. So this was probably a good experience as it digusted me and sitting down for a meal outdoors and someone lights up next to you. Ukk!! Probably would not have noticed this before .Also have had a lot of swelling with ankles and feet along with other muscle aches which i never had before. So getting checked out. Someone else mentioned same with champix. Soo yes quit day coming know im taking it slow but will happen. I was a packet a day smoker so down to 2 is reassuring . It is comforting to share my journey and know that i'm not alone on this challenge.

I have been taking champix for 16 days and have cut down to 2 but still feel like i want smokes. Most people seem to have stopped by now. Am I weird?

No you are not weird its a process and everyone is different . like i posted i'm 28days in and still feel like smoking sometimes i have more than 2 . but i do know im more aware of doing it and a little bit more repulsed each time i have one . baby steps for me Some people stop early and stop champix and then down the track start again . But have been told by my Doctor 35 days is the limit to stop . We will kick it . I've just written a pros and con list for smoking and look at it all the time . Also reading Allan Carr Quit smoking. Need all the help i can get . I do get annoyed when people say oh i gave up on day 5 but as i said we are all different and good luck to them but i'm a plodder i guess.
