Keep on Going!!!

schedule 23 Mar 2015

Well I haven't posted anything since 20 January although I do sometimes hop on and have a read of other's experiences. I can report that I am now 83 days smoke free and I have stopped counting the days and minutes (FINALLY) and only check my app every now and then to see how long I have stopped. It has been much easier than I initially thought even though there have been some very stressful times over the past few months and my partner is still smoking. I have continued to go for a "smoke" with friends or work colleagues, still wear patches and use my e-vap (with a no chemical fluid) on occasions to try and help me to manage. My local chemist has also been a great source of information regarding NRT. I think that I will continue to use patches for a little while yet as I just don't feel quite ready to "give them up" as well for fear that I may fall off and begin smoking again and I figure that patches are much better than the actual smoking. But I will continue to stay strong and stay off the cigarettes even though they were my friend for more than 30 years. The next big test will be when I have a drink with friends at the races but hoping my e-vap will carry me through this. Stay strong everyone whatever part of your journey you are on!!!
