Quit 2nd (and last) attempt
Hey guys!
So this is my second quit attempt as my last one only lasted about 3 days and then after a very long, tedious and stressful day at work I felt a huge craving to have a smoke, and before I knew it I had walked myself over to the supermarket and had a fresh pack in my hands. This time, I really am determined to quit!! My body is telling me all sorts of signs that it needs to stop this poisoning and am really going to listen to it! (Me being the hypercondriacte I am, thinks that every pain in my body is spreading cancer lol) but all in all I want my healthy body back. I want to be able to go for that run, or to not have to wash my hands after every cigarette! I am just terrified about the withdrawal symptoms but I guess they only get better! Wish me luck!
Hi clean breather , this is very common on ppl who are trying to quit . Nicotine is highly addictive I. I myself slipped up more than once but once I start to deal with the craving by using a nicotine gum , that works and helped me a lot so don't be discouraged by that .Keep going ! Good luck !

Hi Clean breather, listen all you have to do is put the cigarettes down, and do not pick them back up. Quitting smoking is easy, it's the moping around it that prolonged everything! I quit smoking over 5 months coldturkey, I feel alive, healthy, beautiful, and fantastic as a non smoker, and I will not smoke cigarettes again! If you used NRT that's also great. Anything to help you break away from nicotine is the goal. Be totally healthy! Goodluck to you! You can do it. I did ;)
hi Clean. It really does get better as time goes on. I've been smoke free for 17 days now and and although my withdrawal symptoms included constipation and restlessness, this only really lasted for a week or so. Please, as jojie said, just put down those smokes! We all just have to get through the withdrawal and on the other side is a life of health, happiness and freedom. Even now if a craving gets really bad I spray some nicorette and the urge goes away. Maybe you could try something like that next time. All the very best and good luck! xx

wow been 180 days for me now ! cold turkey ! you can do it ! its the hardest thing I have ever done but belive me its so worth it ! just the $ savings

Hi good job on your quit! Keep at it, it's hard but doable. Change your routine a bit, talk yourself into being happy with the changes your doing. I am 46 days a non smoker, not my first attempt either. We got this! Change is scary weird in the beginning then it's a new normal before you know it.

Hi clean breather, I'm the same as JDKeys and 46 days smoke free and feeling great. The first couple of weeks as choose health 15 said does take a bit of effort and determination but it really does get easier. In the beginning I just kept telling myself over and over again it will get better and before I knew it , it did. It was really important for me as well to change my routine as this was a huge part of my habit. All the best and don't ever give up trying just take one day at a time.
