Cold Turkey This Time

Hi there fellow nicotine addicts.
I have given up smoking several times in the last 5 years and each time I have failed. My main reason for getting rid of this nasty habit is my 9 year old son who has Cystic Fibrosis. The more times I give up and then smoke again the guiltier I feel. My last time I lasted 9 months which is my best ever attempt. I was hypnotised and I was so proud of myself.
I have several things that trigger me which I now know I need to go through again. I am sad, angry and tired of trying to give up this horrible habit. I have never joined anything like this before but this time i am going cold turkey and I will need your support. I thank you in advance for your support and advice. And I will definatly be here if anyone needs me.
I started smoking again 4 weeks ago after my nine month quit and I am not going to get back into the routine of smoking full time. I have read many of your stories and I can relate to them wholeheartedly. One of my main triggers are stress and as I put on 8kgs after nine months of quitting this time when I am stressed I will be exercising.
Good luck to all of you on your quitting.
May the force be with us. (lol)

Hi Donna, i wish you best of luck for this time. I believe, you will be able to kill this "Smoking Demon" this time successfully
Hi Donna, We all understand how challenging it is to quit but we can all do this together. I extinguished my last cigarette at 7.59pm last night and so far so good. Just one day at at time :)

Thank you fa him. I just take one day at a time and try to avoid my triggers. Thank you

I think mine was last night at about 8:30pm choosehealth2015. Let me know how your travelling with it😉

Hi DonnaG, I like you have tried so many times before it's unreal and just keep trying. This time I started on Champix but didn't take it for long as it didn't agree with me and am now 29 days smoke free and feeling positive. This is the first time I have joined anything like this but am finding it is really helping to keep me motivated and I get a lot of inspiration from reading others journeys. All the best to you, just take one day at a time :-)

Thank you FingersX. I have tried Patches, Champix (twice), Hypnotherapy (twice). Now its cold turkey. The last time ever. I am day 2 and I feel really good today. I think I learn something new each time I give up so I can apply it properly the next time. Have a great afternoon all :)
