14th of November is my quit date. I started Champix on 1st of Nov. I had my last smoke on the 5th of November. This is not my first attempt at quitting but i know it will be my last as I will not smoke again. I am just so proud of myself for quitting 10 days ahead of my quit date and needed to share with someone as my family are not aware that I have quit.

Im so glad to learn that you already quit smoking ahead of your quit date. Well, I quit smoking on Oct 06,2014 and its my 38 days smokefree. I get the craving once in a while depending on the situation. But I would love to share my experience with you, that might help you keep smoke free.
1. I would suggest to change the life style right away. hit the gym and run for 10-15 minutes a day. make it a routine like eating, It will give you the reason to keep continue quiting.
2. As you are already a non-smoker now, I would suggest to read the Allen Carr book, " Easy way to stop smoking". I can send you a soft copy, if you need. It really helped me keep myself from Nicotine.
3. Buy a water bottle and keep it always with yourself, drink water regularly.
Hope these will also help you.
Looking forward to hear your progress again.
Pleas keep us updated.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. So far so good. Hot sweats, sick feeling and headaches are the worst but I will keeping going.

You will need to be strong and you are ! I was the only smoker in my house of 5 others . I was given a hard time by all of them all I heard was when are you gonna quite ?
easier to say than do hu ! well i did quite cold turkey and no one even noticed ! only when i needed some support i posted I quite on face book did they say anything to me ! remember you quite for you ! because you will live longer look better feel better and you deserve it all !!!!!

I am 25 days a non smoker using champion and have had those symptoms but there become less and less. My kids just keep telling me how proud they are of me which is so encouraging but I know I had to do it for me not anyone else 😄
Good for you needto. I thought i was good quitting 1 day before my quit date which was, coincidentally the same as yours, the 14th November. Now 1 year on I can proudly say I am still smoke free! To do it I had the same determination as you and any time i have an urge i remind myself of the reasons I quit, the money I have saved and just how good I now feel after giving up. Keep up the good work!
oh forgot to say. i also used Champix. I lasted 9 weeks and then went alone. The lack of sleep was a killer for me during that time but it was worth it. I persevered and the Champix helped me heaps to break the habit.

Still going okay. Had to lower the dose of champix as I could not cope with the side effects. Days 9 and 10 were pretty bad hoping today is better. Lowering the dose has greatly improved the side effects but the cravings are stronger or maybe it is just the stage I am at. Again thanks for the support.
