Survived the trip to Canberra

Well, I did it. Spent a week in Canberra with my family (most of whom smoke) and did not light up. I was tempted - so tempted a number of times. You know how it is with family, drinking, cards, arguments etc. There was one point on my first night there, I picked up one of my sisters smokes. I was so close to lighting it and she told me to go for a walk. So I did and just kept telling myself that I didn't want to ever start back at day 1. It worked.
There have been times over the past week where I have felt so strong and thought that since I survived Canberra, I can get through anything. Then there are days like today where for some reason I really feel like a smoke.
Someone put on here something like 'day 546 and I finally don't feel like having a smoke' - Seriously - I have to wait years to feel like that? So wish I never started.
Hopefully next story I'm feeling a little more positive and upbeat.
