Slip ups are normal

My decision to stop smoking this time was the same as when I quit for many years. There was a switch in my brain that just said "stop". Although my willpower was resolute I did slip up and have a couple of cigarettes in my first week. Why? I think it's about letting it go and it is a long goodbye of sorts. Slipping up is different to just continuously 'just having one more' - if you do slip up, notice what I did and say, 'is this what I really want to keep doing?'. I'm glad I've stopped, staying stopped is now my challenge. Wishing you well with your quit journey.
