It is day 153 of being a non smoker. Out of those 153 days I have been sick as a dog for about 100 days. I was a non smoker for about 28 days the got bronchitis and while getting over that I got whooping cough. Which triggered asthma.  Which I have never had in my life. Since I got over the bronchitis and whooping cough I have got bronchitis another 3 times and my asthma has been shocking. I have never been so sick in my life since giving up the smokes. I gave up in thd hope of being healthy.  It really makes me wonder if I have made the right decision in giving up the smokes.

Wow that does sound terrible! I have heard a couple of other people on this site tell similar stories of being terribly ill for 3 - 4 months but then gradually they started to get well. All I can say is, imagine how bad all of this would be if you started smoking now, it would be even worse! I know how hard it is to quit and you have done amazing, don't give up now because although it seems like quitting made you sick, I would guess the damage was done and quitting may have saved you an even worse illness. I sure hope you get to reap the benefits of all your hard work soon! Take care!

Whatever you do.....don't start smoking again. Think of smoking as the reason for your illness and blame it on that. You will get better, and never look back.
