Day 8 and feeling great

My little bub cries for attention and I straight away think 'have I washed my hands since my last smoke or rinsed my mouth' - and then I remember, I am a non smoker and I can pick him up and kiss him and cuddle him and I don't have to worry any more of how bad I smelt or if there were any poisons left on me to pass to him.
This is the greatest part of not smoking and hopefully will keep me going.
Keep up the good work everyone and enjoy the experience as much as you can. I find that if I keep telling myself 'this is easy', 'I am so excited at being a non smoker', 'we have been brainwashed to believe this is the hardest thing when in fact it's just like breaking any habit (driving on the opposite side of the road overseas)' etc that I am now believing this.
Please don't let me take anything away from you if you are finding it difficult. This is about my 10th attempt at quitting and this is just what's working for me at the moment.

I agree with you AllyV that is not really hard to quit smoking. I think its all in our head, or what we are lead to believed. I quit smoking coldturkey first try and I did not suffer. Its more like entrapment with nicotine. Anyways More power to everyone on their journey to finally quitting smoking.
