One year down

One year and three days ago i had my last full cigarette, you know, i don't even remember it. What i do remember is that even now i sometimes still get a craving for a smoke. It doesn't help that my wife still smokes, but that is another situation. She actually said to me last night "You dont kiss me anymore" and i told her that the only time she wants a kiss from me is when she comes to bed, just after having a cigarette. She stopped and thought about this for a second then apologised. What i am trying to say is regardless of the situation that surrounds you it is still possible to remain off the smokes as long as you are determined to do so. I was a pack a day smoker for over 25 years and i feel that if i can do it, then anybody can. Good luck to those who are trying to give up, keep at it, you will do it if you want to, and to those thinking of trying, it may seem so very hard, but the benefits are so worth it. Good luck to all!!!
Well done on a year off the smokes Kev! That is a major achievement! My missus is still smoking so I know what your talking about with the goodnight kiss. 266 days for me and going strong and looking forward to when I can celebrate a year off the durries. Again Congrats and keep up the good work!

Way to go Kevin, that is fantastic! I am way behind you at day 80......but I will get there! It feels so good to be smoke free! My husband smoked a pack and half a day for almost 40 years and he switched to ecig, started with nicotine and then went to no nicotine. He has been smoke free for a year now, still using the ecig but it's just vapor so I say, if it works stay with it! Maybe you and William should suggest those to your wives -there's no odor or bad taste! Way to go to both of you!

Well done Kevin and Kam, it's great reading other peoples journeys, it's only day 17 for me but I am so much stronger this time, which is my 12th attempt.

Big achievement Kevin and Kam,I feel great reading stories like yours because i have just started on my journey and it inspires me more and more every day. Well done guys and hopefully i will be posting my stories one year from now.
