Hello, This is my 13th day on Champix. I registered this site because I wondered about other experiences. This drug is crazy. I feel like I have a big hole in my soul right now, and I'm not sure if I should keep on trying this drug or not. I became a lot aggressive and I cannot control it mostly. It didn't help with smoking as well. (But maybe its too early, I don't know. I read that the time changes according to some parameters) I tried this drug 4 years ago for just 10 days, but physical side effects were intolerable -like throwing up twice a day) So I stopped using it. This time I can control the nausea with another drug, but psychological effects are intolerable. I feel useless because I feel like I cannot achieve anything -quitting smoking, for instance. I want a child, and that's why I need to quit smoking as soon as possible. My family and friends don't believe that I can do it anymore. Me neither. So unhappy and depressed. I wish the side effects were just nausea and insomnia, but psychological ones are killing me.

You need to stop taking Chapix, I am not a Dr but I was considering using it, as I have a history of depression and currently on meds, it was adv by my dr that champix is not good due to the psychological side effects.

My brother also stopped it due to insomnia and vomiting.

Whilst I have heard others that have used it and been successful it's not for everyone.

Please stop using it and try something different

Good luck

Deja, the side effects you are describing are serious, you should talk to your doctor and likely should stop taking champix. If you have ever suffered any degree of depression then champix is not for you - it is dangerous! That said, I am not telling everyone not to use it, because I use it and am on day 80 smoke free and champix really helped me, but I am lucky because the side effects were minimal, a bit of nausea but if I took the pills with meals I was ok. Once I was two weeks smoke free, I cut my dose down to one pill a day instead of two, now I have no champix side effects at all and I am still going strong with the not smoking. I am not a doctor but I really think you should talk to one and likely stop taking champix immediately. There are lots of other things you can try, you will find one that is right for you! I wish you the very best on your journey!
