Please do not use Champix!!!!
To everyone out there.
I thought Champix was a miracle drug, i stopped at day 8 and was so so happy. But be week 2 / 3 i started feeling funny and decided to leave champix since i read that there can be side effects.
I was hospitalized in Vista because Champix made me so depressive and i had thoughts of killing myself. This was not my at all. I thought mind over matter and that the side effects are just for the weak. I can tell you it is not and that anyone who uses Champix is paying with their life.
3 months later and i am still battling (yes stopped smoking - but at what cost) and on lots of pills to re-establish a chemical balance in my brain / moods
So i beg everyone, please think twice before using this product.
A friend of mine went from being a placid and kind person to being violent towards his girlfriend and became suicidal on Champix. He used Zyban a while after and hasn't smoked since, in fact he recommended Zyban to me. There are way too many scary reports on Champix, I don't know why it's still being used. I hope your body goes back to normal soon, depression is an awful thing.
because it works i did a course of champix and have been smoke-free for 3 years while champix may not be for everyone it sure helps alot of people, talk to your doctor first well all the best and champix all the way.

I'm sorry, I hope everything becomes normal again soon. This is my 13th day on Champix. I registered this site because I wondered about other experiences. This drug is crazy. I feel like I have a big hole in my soul right now, and I'm not sure if I should keep on trying this drug or not. I became a lot aggressive and I cannot control it mostly. It didn't help with smoking as well. (But maybe its too early, I don't know. I read that the time changes according to some parameters)
I tried this drug 4 years ago for just 10 days, but physical side effects were intolerable -like throwing up twice a day) So I stopped using it. This time I can control the nausea with another drug, but psychological effects are intolerable. I feel useless because I feel like I cannot achieve anything -quitting smoking, for instance. I want a child, and that's why I need to quit smoking as soon as possible. My family and friends don't believe that I can do it anymore. Me neither. So unhappy and depressed. I wish the side effects were just nausea and insomnia, but psychological ones are killing me.

I stopped taking the champix 6 weeks ago because I was feeling absolutely terrible (like someone above said I also felt like I had a hole in my soul). Never felt so crap in my life. I am totally smokefree now (after only having a 3 week course) but like above said at wjat expense? I have also been put on alot of meds to try & bring me back to normality as I seem to have a severe chemical imbalance due to the champix. My life has been absolutely crap since the day I started them. Ive had suicidal thoughts & thoughts of harming other people. My mental health is really bad. To the lady above whos trying to give up so she can start a family...GET OF THE CHAMPIX because they will be doing more damage to your mental health & you will not be able to care for a baby if your not 100%
Hello, I'm interested in hearing more about people's experiences with Champix - particularly suicidal thoughts, feelings of aggression and depression. This thread is a few years old now... but can anyone here expand on their experiences looking back and tell me more about why they stopped?
