Day 1 and I made it to 9 AM before slipping up. I had one cigarette. This is it though I'm just taking it from here now, not going to let a minor thing throw me off track completely. I WILL do this!!!

Of course you can do this. I am on my fifth or sixth attempt and this time I am determined. I am up to day 15 and still going. What I have told myself in the past is not that I will stop smoking, but that I will not buy any more cigarettes. I know that if I had cigarettes in the house I would not be able to quit. Try not having access to cigarettes. Put any that you have left in your partner's car when he goes to work. Then, if you are really desperate, you know you only have to wait until he get home. Hopefully by then the craving might have past. I hope this helps.

Day 1 has been a disaster. 2pm and 3 cigarettes later. I moved my quit date to tomorrow. I will make it!

schedule 26 Jun 2014

Yes Winni, the secret seems to be to wait for the craving to pass. Think of it like a sleep wave. As humans we get a sleep wave every hour, but we don't sleep every hour. Somehow we get over our tired feelings. We get past them until they happen again the next hour. We manage to get through these waves many times a day. We take a short rest or change what were doing. And your doing extremely well. Keep up your strive. Great going.

schedule 27 Jun 2014

You will do this Winni one way or another.

If you don't stop trying you will do this.

If you feel that you are not ready moved your quit date to have time to think and say good-buy !!!!!!
