In October 2012 I went on chapix and I was able to quit for 8 months I was so happy and feeling healthy. I could breathe better. I could run up my stairs. However due to a big arguement with my mother and other stress I started to smoke again. I tried to go cold turkey and stay off the smokes but stress just built up and I started to be a heavy smoker again. I know it is killing me but I have found it very hard to stop again.

Hi Tan3, get on the champix again. I'm on day 16 of my champix program and day two of quitting. Champix makes it so much easier.

Good luck, I hope you become the master of nicotine again soon.

I agree champix makes it possible! I am on it and on day 9 of smoke free. I feel so good it's silly! :). You know it worked for you before so give it another go - you can do it! Best of luck!

Hi, I just found this site and think its a fabulous resource... I have smoked for 45 years... I started when I was 12... yes Im 57. I have spent more money trying to quit than smoking I think. The longest I have quit for is 5 years...I have kicked for the last 4 years for taking it up again. Last time I succeeded by using the patches so that's the way I will go again. My quit date is 30/6/14
