Hey Guys,

Im close to completing week 2 so thought I'd share my experience.

First things first is the wanting to quit has to come from you and not influenced by anybody else as the little rebel within us would want to prove this other person wrong. So dont do it because someone has been nagging you to quit.

I was fortunate, I chose my quit date as the same day as moving house, so I had loads to distract me and keep me occupied.Funny enough on day 5 when I had to go back to work the first thing I wanted to do is light up.(tip-make sure you smoke all your fags a day before quit date and get rid of lighters matches ashtrays that may remind you )

In my case I have noticed it is addiction to habits rather than addiction to nicotine. So my advice is try and to do something to distract yourself.I am currently working on playing angry birds when I get the urge or go fill my water bottle.

Those of you on Champix make sure you have breakfast, it helps overcome any sickness.

Drink orange or grapefruit juice the sharp taste doesnt go with smoking and is a good deterent.

Most importantly follow the NOT EVEN ONE PUFF RULE.

Good luck to all those who are trying to quit.
