6 days as a non-smoker

I am almost through my 6th day I'm laying here in bed because I have been so tired and little or no energy, I'm having a hard time this week at getting through a day at work. I hoping this is normal. I'm on the patch which seems to be helping me, I haven't had a slip but it has been close.. I am also finding that I'm having really weird dreams, I had tried the champix before and the same thing happened and I blamed it on the pill but now I'm thinking it must be withdrawal from the nicotine. I'm going to be 50 this year and I've smoked for 35 yrs. so I guess I must expect changes. So hoping I can quit and stay quit.

I'm on Champix as well and was very fatigued the first week, I was still smoking so I can't contribute it to withdrawals. I haven't had any really bad dreams, a few bizarre ones lol, but nothing like a nightmare or disturbing. I hope you get through it and feel better, day 10 smoke free for me and I'm already breathing better. Cheers.

Thanks Bartman, I'm really trying and I'm finding this site helpful. Good for you 10 days!!!! I'm now on day 7 and I have found it a very long week but 7 days I know is really good for me plus I've saved money, haha.

I'm on champix too and have vivid dreams often! And I feel like I grind my teeth in my sleep too. I hate it. I have lowered dose to 1 tablet per am. BUT I plan to go back to docs to get second prescription because they have helped me immensely. And I know that the side effects are not going to be with me forever and smoking will be gone from my life forever as a result of my determination. Stay focused on your goals everyone!!

Keep going Wicked one, I'm 49 this year and smoked for 33 years and I'm now at day 183 or 6 months.
I to went patches and got the dreams but I enjoyed them being so real, I weaned myself off the patches the first month and have not looked back, yes it is hard yards but the rewards are great.
So stay strong, positive and quit all the best.

Thanks A.F.U, I'm now on day 8 and this morning I'm really minding it but I'm hanging in there. I can't wait to get to 6 mths, I know it will get easier. I just transferred my savings from my 7 days which was $98. to another acct. and that looks good. I just want to be free from that little cigarette, cuz right now I feel like a lost soul, not myself at all!!!So thanks for the encouraging words and congrats on your 6 mths, that's great!!!

Try the easyway to stop smoking by allen carr- literally a piece of cake. It removes any desire or craving to smoke. Been smoke free now for 11 days and I have been sleeping better, eating better and have had absolutely no cravings. It literally changes the way you think of smoking and you don't suffer through withdrawal. Highly recommend it. Good luck :)
