I started smoking when I was 14, and have had a couple of long non smoking periods up to 18 mnths. I felt like unless my husband quit, that I wasn't strong enough to quit, but I've done it, and I don't have to wait for him anymore, I know I will be stronger as a result of living with a smoker, if I can resist that I can do anything.

i have only quit this week, but am finding it much easier than I thought. I have bbeen using lozenges so I'm not too grumpy with the kids and running everyday, which is definitely helping to lift some oof the grot off my lungs.

I'm really excited about my non smoking future, it's definitely mind over matter!

Good on you, must make it harder having hubby smoking, but this is your decision and your choice. You will blitz it and hopefully he will follow your example, when he is ready.

Thanks Lbeth, I have had two smokes today, but tomorrow is a new day. I guess at least I'm not trying to quit while my hubby is grumpy from quitting at the same time.
