I did it

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 25 Mar 2014

I basically started smoking at the age of 7 yrs old.... well passive smoking that is....Mum used to drive us around with the car windows up as she was smoking like a chimney...

well smoking wasn't considered bad back then and smoking was allowed in shopping centres.

I started at 16 yrs old I was a light smoker just a few per day..... That increased into adulthood  when I was smoking one pack a day...I'm now 44 yrs old and have now been a non smoker for two weeks.  I have been in hospital many times with smoking related illness. I was in intensive care with Pneumonia and just about at deaths door. Anyone can do it and give up with will power and determination it's a hard road but one with many rewards. Even after two weeks of quitting I feel so much better.

I will never, ever smoke again.
