Day 11 Champix

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 3 Mar 2014

These little seeds of doubt are doing my head in. I'm day 11 and, yes i am smoking so much less yes they are disgusting but now im really worried that champix has just found a leveled out in my system and is staying like that. I'm clinging on to the experiences iv'e heard and read that you just have to keep taking it and use your willpower to make it happen.

Anyway i just wanted to update my storey and progress and thankyou to evryone on this site for taking the time to write because believe me it all helps.

You can do it, I keep remembering those ads on TV, If I can do it anyone can. It means a lot to me because I didn't think I would ever be able to go a day with out. I took champix for 14 days while smoking. On day 12 and 13 I only had 2 smokes each day. Since 8.30pm on day 13 I have not smoked, I am now 15 days smoke free and feel like I have conquered the world. Seriously can say for the first time in my life I feel god damn proud of what I have achieved (and just quietly, tell myself how much better I am than all those stinky smokers :))I actually feel like no smokes are better than 2, as I am not counting the hours anymore before I can have my next smoke, I feel free. I still have moments, especially as my hubby still smokes and it's not easy but don't doubt yourself, have faith in you and chase your dreams like a cheetah.

Dear anglearms- thank you for the post you sent to motor7676. You suggested a walk with a partner instead of an argument or smoking. That is fantastic problem solving on your part. My Husband frequently refuses to walk with me, but I have spoken to Him again. He thinks it is a good alternative. We are getting a Puppy tomorrow. He is happy to walk the Puppy with me. Thank You so much.
