A minor slip up

I have quit for 12 days but last night I slipped up. It was the end of the week and I had a few drinks with friends who smoke. It was silly of me to put myself in that situation so soon after quitting. I think I need to really change what I do socially for a while so I can still feel strong to stay quit.

Mary, don't put yourself in that environment again so soon after quitting. Don't let it deter you and keep going. Remember the reason you tried giving up in the first place. Don't let the addiction beat you. We can all be at this habit. Do not give up giving up. Good luck.

Thanks for your comments this has help me a lot. I have slapped myself back into reality and I will stay off the smokes. Next Friday night I will plan to do something completely different that will be fun and keep my mind off it.

Yep, change your routine until you are stronger. It is a great excuse to try some new things and you have some extra cash to help with that.
