Well Guys its been four months now and feeling fantastic. Smoking for forty years now seems like a dream in another life. I knew it was time when I would get up in the middle of the night to smoke. I started smoking in bed which could have burnt the place down and I was gasping for breath some nights. I started giving up using an electronic cigarette and nicotine lozenges. This has given me the willpower I needed. If the cravings get bad I simply pop a lozenge. I used patches for the first two weeks which was good but on a couple of ocassions I had massive anxiety panic attacks as I was on patches lozenges and electronic cigarette so I think I had a nicotine overdose. Now I dont think I could ever go near a smoke again. It was a lot easier than I thought. One thing I have taught my mind when it says one smoke wont hurt I think of the saying , never ever trust one cigarette cause they travel in packs. So guys its a lot easier than you think and you wont believe how your skin looks after a while. Plus you want to start excercising. I talked to a woman the other day who spends $220 a week on smokes. I could not belive it. Thats over 10 thousand dollars a year after tax.

I love that saying .... 'Don't trust one cigarette cause they travel in packs'. I'm going to use that one. Great work on reaching 4 months I am at 5 weeks and looking forward to smoking being a very distant memory

Thanks Sahara. Five weeks for you is great stuff !!!!!. You should be very proud of what you have achieved. If I could suggest a couple of things that helped me. I never go to clubs or pubs unarmed. I can hang in the smokers section no problem as long as I am armed with my electronic cigarette and lozenges if I get hit with cravings. I am lucky I have no friends that smoke but at work I go out with the smokers and puff on my ecig.As time goes by I get stronger as you will. Sahara dont let anything get in your way, you are now committed. You have heard smokers say stuff like you have to die of something. But that something doesnt have to be from cancer or worse your lungs gasping for air.I look forward to you saying 6 months no smokes then one year no smokes. Take care and all the success in the world

I like that saying too about trusting 1 cigarette!!! I am on my 8th day of non-smoking and I'm also on the patch and I have an e-cig. I always think if I have one I will be back to day 1 and it has taken me so long to get to where I am. I'm not saying it's easy but I am looking forward to being free!!!I have smoked for 35yrs. or more..Good luck to all, let's do it this time!!!
