on champix
I started champix late last year. I was smoke free for 3 weeks then for some reason I started up again (:. I didn't beat myself up about it. I have smoked for 35 years. I started again after about a week. I can happily say I haven't had a cigarette for 20 days. I love the fact that I don't smell of smoke Downside I can't sleep and I have a funny taste in my mouth and now I am experiencing reflux when I go to bed and to top it off I have a lot of wind Lol I am sticking it out and but wondering how long I will last without sleep as I am a shift worker and work afternoon shifts. At times I feel that I am missing out on something due to the fact that I don't smoke.

Like You I am on Champix (3rd week) and smoke free for 14 days but feeling awful, stomach sickness, vomiting, no sleep but I'm going to stick it out. Hope you do too. Good on you for starting again, keep it up, we can beat the cigs
Well done debby,the side effects of nicotine withdrawal can be a little crazy, just think of it as its a cleansing process, your body is getting rid of all that crap in your body, Just remember your body has be wired to smoke for a very long time ( I smoked for 33 yrs ), So you have to be a little kind to yourself and just go with the side effects, It will all settle down in time.. A lot of people I know that use Champix either have trouble sleeping or very vivid dreams (for me day 22, it is the dreams, but they are even starting to not be as vivid as in the beginning!). Dont go off the champix, thinking you can handle it yourself....Do the entire course. Stay strong!!
I am on Champix too. I take Champix WITH food. Not before or after. I would try to plan it in middle of my breakfast and dinner. So far its good. Its been 12 days on Champix for me. For sleep listen to Weightless by Marconi Union its the best for relaxing. Hope it helps.
